HP 788C 3.7-8.3 GHz Directional Detector
The Hewlett Packard 788C is a 3.7 to 8.3 GHz. directional coupler with a built-in crystal detector.  The coupler has a flat (±0.3) frequency response and good directivity, while the detector has a good frequency response and high sensitivity.  The configuration of the directional detector reduces the number of ambiguities over the standard system of separate coupler and detector and makes possible tighter correlation between main-arm power and detected signal.  The detector is well suited for sweep oscillator leveling and can also be used to monitor power with a voltmeter or oscilloscope.  Type N connectors.
